I interned at Carina e Dolce my spring trimester of my sophomore year, and it was definitely one of the best experiences I have had. As a Baking and Pastry Arts major I have always tried to pursue a career in a bakery but, unfortunately, had never had the opportunity to work in one because of my lack in work experience. My internship with Andrea changed that. It boosted my confidence along with my pastry skills. Johnson and Wales definitely set up the foundation to my baking and pastry skills but Andrea's guidance and mentoring really pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of. I'm grateful to Andrea for everything she has taught me!
